Is Reffi really free for referees?
Yes — 100% free, forever. No hidden fees, no premium tiers for officials. We believe referees should have free access to find games and get paid. Leagues pay for the platform because they get the most value from it.
What's an "active posting"?
An active posting is a game listing that's currently live and accepting referee applications. Once a game is completed or cancelled, it no longer counts toward your limit. Think of it as how many games you can have posted at any given time.
Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?
Absolutely. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you cancel, you'll keep access through the end of your current billing period. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
How does the free trial work?
Start with full access for 7 days and up to 3 postings — no credit card required. If you love it, upgrade to Starter to keep posting. If not, your account simply converts to view-only mode. No surprise charges.
How do payments to referees work?
When a league accepts a referee's application, the game fee is held in escrow via Stripe. After the league confirms the referee showed up and completed the game, the payment is automatically released to the referee's connected bank account. If there's a dispute, our team reviews it.
Do you take a cut of referee payments?
During our beta period, there are zero platform fees on referee payments — 100% goes to the official. In the future, a small service fee may apply, but we'll always be transparent about it.
What if I need more than 75 active postings?
